Organisation

Prabhakar Foundation is a Non-Profit Making Organisation incorporated in Thane in the year 2006, India under section 25 (1) of Companies Act 1956 and is committed to work for social cause. The Organisation is founded by Neela & Girish Ghate to support social activities in education and rural development. The Foundation is closely working with various NGOs and schools in Thane & Solapur districts.

The Foundation has executed number of social projects in Solapur and Thane districts of Maharashtra since inception. Some of the star projects include nurturing of rural schools under Happy School benefiting 2,500 students, Providing safe drinking water to schools in Solapur benefiting 6,000 students, distribution of books to un aided schools benefiting 10,000 students, nurturing secondary school at Yavali benefitting 250 students, toilet construction, draught management, solar electrification, ckeck-dam, etc. Over Rs. 1 crore was utilised to implement these projects.

प्रभाकर फौंडेशन एक स्वयंसेवी संस्था असून कंपनी अधिनियम २५ (१) अंतर्गत संस्थेची औपचारिक स्थापना २००६ साली ठाणे येथे करण्यात आली. शिक्षण व ग्रामीण विकास हे उद्देश समोर ठेऊन सौ नीला घाटे व श्री गिरीश घाटे यांनी संस्थेची स्थापना केली. ठाणे व सोलापूर जिल्ह्यातील अनेक समविचारी स्वयंसेवी संस्था आणि ग्रामीण शाळांसोबत संस्था काम करत आहे.

स्थापनेपासून संस्थेने सोलापूर व ठाणे जिल्ह्यात अनेक सामाजिक उपक्रम राबवले आहेत. उदाहरणार्थ, माझी शाळा सुंदर शाळा या उपक्रमाअंतर्गत ग्रामीण शाळांचा विकास करून २,५०० विद्यार्थ्यांचा फायदा झाला, शुद्ध पाणी पुरवठा उपक्रमात ६,००० विद्यार्थ्यांचा फायदा झाला, विना अनुदानित शाळांत पुस्तक वाटप उपक्रमात १०,००० विद्यार्थ्यांना फायदा झाला, यावली शाळेचा विकास या उवक्रमात २५० विद्यार्थ्यांना फायदा झाला, तसेच सौचालय बांधकाम, दुष्काळी काम, सोलर वीज पुरवठा, बंधारा बांधणी असे अनेक उपक्रम संस्थेने राबवले. या सर्व उपक्रमासाठी जवळपास रुपये १ कोटी हुन अधिक राशीचा विनियोग झाला, ज्याचे जवळपास २५,००० लाभार्थी आहेत..
